in 1980 , boney,m relesed a greatest hits album . the magic of boney,m - 20 golden hits .which also contained two new songs , my friend jack , i see a boat in river " it's made up one spot in u.k reaching gold status with in six weeks of relesed thought it was their last big selling album in the u.k ..boney,m 's fifth album had been acheduled fro relesed in november 1980 but the recording session dragged on all through 1981 when booooonos was finally relesed by the end of the year , bobby farrel was fired from the group due to his unreliabillty , when still a healhty seller incontinential europe , booooonoos faild to track u.k top 100 after three consecutive no 1 albums , and farrel's departure left the group unable to promote it .following this the group relesed a chritsmas album .
