The indian music is the large phase in world music . pandit ravi shankar is the great big musician in the india . he is a giant in indian music . he born in april 7  1920 ..he respect for name before put pandit ravi shankar he was an indian musician who was one of  the best known exponets of the sitar in the second half of the 20th century , as well as a composr hindusthani music ..shankar was born in varanasi and spent his youth tour eyurope and india with the dance group of his brother uday shankar he gave up dancing in 1938 to study star playing under the court musicina allsdh khan after finishing his studies in1944.shankar was worked as a composer creating the music for the upu trigy by satyajit ray , and was music director af an all india radio new delhi ..h  began to tour eyurope and the americans playing indian classical music and incresed its popularty there in the 1960 through teaching performance and his asociations with violisit yedhu menuhin and beatless gutarist george harisson shankar engaged western music by writing cocentri for sithar ochestra ..
